Sunset in the Strait of Canso

This stunning edition portrays a scene that was very familiar to J. Franklin Wright as he was growing up in Point Tupper, overlooking the beautiful Strait of Canso. This Limited Edition print depicts a fishing schooner, prior to the construction of the Canso Causeway in 1955; on a calm summer evening while the car ferry on the left is heading for Mulgrave from Point Tupper. The print is from an original acrylic on canvas presently owned by private collectors. The image measures 23 x 13 and is printed on 100% acid-free archival paper. There are a total of 275 Limited Edition prints and an edition of 25 artist’s proofs and 25 printer’s proofs; all individually signed and numbered by the artist, there will be no more printed.
