Medicine Man on Turtle Island

Original acrylic on Deer-hide drum measuring 20 inches. The Medicine Man was the keeper of the medicine, a healer and a spiritual leader who served a community of Indigenous people. Turtle Island refers to North America, where the turtle carries that world on its back.
