Wilda’s art is inspired by her rugged coastal environment. The rolling seas, crashing waves on foggy rocky shores, fisherman hauling lobster traps and interior forest scenes instilled a strong sense of place and belonging.

About Wilda Kaiser
Life sometimes brings us full circle. I grew up in the small fishing village of Port Bickerton, Nova Scotia and moved to various places in Canada throughout my career returning here to an old sea captain’s home to retire with my husband in 2014. This rugged coastal environment has always influenced my art. The rolling seas, crashing waves on foggy rocky shores, fisherman hauling lobster traps and interior forest scenes instilled in me a strong sense of place and belonging.
My paintings can be found at Down to Earth Gallery in Antigonish, Nova Scotia and at my gallery “Kaiser Cove Studio Gallery” in Port Bickerton, Nova Scotia. In addition to painting full time I’m the Director of the Artist in Residence programme for the Port Bickerton Lighthouse in Nova Scotia. When not found in studio, I can be found exploring and painting ‘en plein air’ in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Maine.
