Down To Earth Art Gallery
Down To Earth Art Gallery has been in business in the same location at 240 Main St., Antigonish, Nova Scotia since 1996. Over those twenty-two years, our business has transformed from a gallery with mostly limited edition prints and etchings to a “go-to ” gallery for original artwork. We carry many well-known local favourites but it’s also where original paintings by one of the original Group of Seven members, Franz Johnston, and the worlds most recognized First Nations artist, Norval Morrisseau, have been found. Along with works by Canada’s leading marine artist J. Franklin Wright, and one of the country’s most significant aboriginal artists, Alan Syliboy, our customers are sometimes a little…… “Seriously ?” you have….Maud Lewis, Joe Norris, J.W. Beatty,…… ?”
We stay up to date on the latest framing materials as well as new techniques and have framed thousands of pieces. All work is done on site by us using archival material, meaning we control the quality of the whole project for every step. This is why we have been able to guarantee all work forever since our first day of business. Check out some photos under our custom framing section. We can frame anything !
We carry the best selection of art supplies in the area, pack and ship worldwide, with same day service available. We are always acquiring new artwork so check our site often or come visit our gallery in person. We offer a popular lease to own option.
