Living and working in Grenada has inspired Maureen to explore, discover and exercise her own creative talents. Maureen paints women in celebratory poses as well as coordinates and facilitates a variety of community educational programs. Maureen is currently using her artwork to promote and fund-raise for Under One Roof, an artisan collective that she and a small group of local artisans are coordinating on Grenville, St.Andrew's, Grenada. Under One Roof, began as a way to help rebuild Grenada after the devastation by hurricane Ivan in 2004. Under One Roof, is a community-based non-profit collective, focusing on education and participation through community and economic growth. Maureen began exhibiting her paintings in national shows in Canada and Grenada in 2000.
